It’s been one year since Peoria started the cycle bike share and the numbers show people are loving it.
The goal for the city was to hit 1,100 by the end of the first year, now 12 months later, the program has reached the 1,600 hundred ride mark.
According to Zagster, City Cycle is the 4th highest membership acquisition in a program’s opening quarter in company history. After one year, City Cycle has about one-thousand registered members.
“We have a lot of repeat riders which is fantastic and after looking at the first year numbers people aren’t just riding for fun,” said Kaci Geier Enjoy Peoria. She adds, “People are using it for transportation as well. and that was part of the goal, we’re definitely happy to see that.”
