In a hearing for a plea deal Tuesday, Richard Henderson took a plea deal of 53 years in prison for the homicide of 16-year-old Diamond Bradley.
He has credit for about 2/3 of a year served. He has 45 days to appeal this plea deal. After that date, he is no longer able to file any appeals.
Henderson, of Putnam County, was charged with first-degree murder in August. Court documents stated he stabbed Bradley with a knife several times and disposed her body in a ditch along a road in Granville Township.
Officers believe Bradley met Henderson online before they decided to meet in person on or about Jan. 24, 2018. During a search of Henderson’s workplace back in April, deputies found the knife they believe was used to kill Bradley.
