PNC mobile planetarium comes to Peoria with ‘Sesame Street’ experience

Local News

PEORIA, Ill. — The “Growing Up Great Together Under One Big Sky” mobile planetarium stopped by the Webster Head Start Center in Peoria on Tuesday for kids to learn about math, science and one another.

Children ages 4 to 6 saw a special planetarium show, “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure,” created by the Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit organization behind “Sesame Street,” along with support from the PNC Foundation. Through the lens of astronomy, kids join Elmo, Big Bird and others as they take an imaginary trip from “Sesame Street” to the moon.

The portable dome travels throughout PNC’s markets to early childhood education centers.
