NORMAL – Springtime may bring beautiful flowers, green grass, and budding trees… but if you suffer from allergies, it can mean weeks of feeling lousy from the pollen.

Sneezing, runny nose, and sinus headaches are just of a few of the symptoms.

Allergy medicine can help reduce mild to moderate symptoms and starting these meds before you even experience symptoms may keep allergies away or reduce their severity.

It can also help to keep the windows closed and the air conditioner on to reduce your exposure to pollen.

Dr. Dareen Siri explains, “It hits the eyes, the nose, these things called mucus membranes that line the nasal passages and causes the irritation. If you are pre-disposed to having allergies it will cause your body to recieve it, interact with it, and produce an allergic response.”

Another tip, take a shower when you get in if you’ve been outdoors for awhile.

This will wash away– excess pollen.
