Pop-a-Shot Company seeking relocation in the Warehouse District

Local News

PEORIA, Ill., A few more jobs could be coming to Peoria very soon.

Pop-a-Shot, the company that created the first electronic basketball game, is looking to relocate their business to the Warehouse District.

The company was founded in Kansas in 1981 and bought by Anthony Stucker in 2016.
Pop-a-Shot currently produces four products, but the majority of its revenue is associated with the Home Dual Shot basketball arcade game.

If the city approves a $250,000 loan, the company will create at least 10 jobs.

“The investment that’s being made is sizeable. This is a loan that the city is happy to make for the Pop-a-Shot company for the improvements so they can operate their corporate headquarters here and we’re really excited about that,” Peoria City Manager Patrick Urich said.

The Peoria City Council will vote to either approve or deny the loan at its next meeting.
