PEORIA, Ill. — Men and women came together this morning at Franklin Primary School to welcome children and families as they entered the new school year on Wednesday.

College officials, police officers, and other notable people in the area surrounded the building with upbeat music, high fives, and smiling faces.

Faculty says it’s a great way to get children ready for a great year ahead.

“The way kids enter their first day is the way you set the pace for the rest of the year so its a great way to get their year started; positive and energized,” said Anna Rose, Principal at Franklin Primary.

100 Men Strong puts on events throughout the school year to stay active and involved in the community.
