The Rain coming through Central Illinois is helping local farmers.
A dry winter was cause for concern among corn and soybean growers.
But a spokesperson from the Peoria County Farm Bureau says crops should be fine.
“The soil moisture is low but it seems like a lot of the tile lines are still running, which is a good thing,” says Patrick Kirchhofer, “But right now conditions look pretty good for farmers.”
Farmers will be keeping a close eye on the weather as they get ready to plant in mid-April.
