Remembering fallen Deputy Chase White

Local News

Community members in Peoria gathered to say goodbye to another fallen hero.

US Deputy Marshall, Chase White, was serving an arrest warrant in Tuscon, Arizona when he was shot and killed last month.

White’s mother is a reverend at the Universalist Unitarian Church, a church he attended growing up and also where the visitation is taking place.

Media was not allowed inside the church, but WMBD was able to speak to Reverend Michael Brown about what Deputy White meant to Central Illinois.

“Chase White grew up in Peoria,” said Reverend Brown. “He is a graduate of Manual High School where he was an outstanding athlete and scholar. He is part of this community and part of this family and so it is very fitting that we should honor him.”

The visitation for White is being held on Friday evening. The memorial service will be tomorrow at 1 p.m.

White leaves behind a wife and four children.
