PEORIA, Ill. — More students in central Illinois will get the chance to explore the Peoria Riverfront Museum this school year.
“I think the Peoria Riverfront Museum is one of the critical success factors to the confidence of our region and the talent development of our region,” said museum CEO John Morris.
Through its Every Student Initiative, the museum works with Peoria Public Schools to make sure every student in the district, kindergarten through eighth grade, visits for a field trip.
Now, students in East Peoria can look forward to touring the museum’s exhibits.
Students will be able to experience their trip that relates to their classroom curriculum.
Morris says the new initiative will inspire more students, and a brighter future.
“It is going to touch a lot more young lives on curriculum related visits, which inspire them to do better in school and better in life. Unleashing, the full talent and genius of every young person,” said Morris.
