SPARLAND, Ill. - If you're traveling through IL 17 and 29 next week you may want to keep an eye out for lane closures.
The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced Friday that roadwork in on those roads in Sparland will begin on Monday.
Crews will be installing new pavement markings near that intersection and the railroads tracks. To complete the work, there will be lane closures. Traffic will be controlled by flaggers. The work is expected to last between 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
IDOT says drivers should expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through the area.
