UPDATE (10:36 p.m.) — The Peoria Police Department released more information about a shooting incident that occurred late Wednesday.
According to a Peoria police press release, a juvenile was sent to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers initially responded to a shot spotter near Archer and California Avenues at approximately 8:17 p.m., when they learned there was a victim located in a car near Arcadia and Wisconsin Avenues with apparent gunshot wounds.
No suspect information is available at this time. This incident remains under investigation.
Peoria Police Department’s Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, Special Investigations Division, and Crime Scene Unit all responded to the scene.
UPDATE: Peoria Police are investigating after a gunshot victim was found Wednesday night just before 8:30 p.m.
Police found the victim in a car on N. Wisconsin Ave. with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim is said to have serious injuries. Police have not released any more details about the victim, or suspect information.

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the area of Wisconsin Ave. and Archer Ave. are shut down due to a police incident.
Police have also shut down the area of Archer Ave. and Missouri Ave.
