Peoria Police want you to take caution after three seperate Craigslist scams lead to an investigation.

The scams target sellers with Craigslist ads selling electronics like gaming consoles, computers, and cell phones.

The buyer, then, contacts the seller and arranges to meet at Landmark Apartments.

They will then be asked to check the product out before making off without paying.

To protect yourself when making exchanges, Peoria Police urges you to use their visitor’s parking lot on Walnut St. or use the department’s lobby at 600 SW Adams. It’s open from 6 A.M. to 10 P.M.
