TRIVOLI, Ill. – 18-year-old Jozcelyn Lesones was pronounced dead Saturday at 12:28 p.m.
Peoria County Coroner, Jamie Harwood, said despite aggressive resuscitative efforts by rescue personnel and Life Flight staff she couldn’t be revived.
A full-sized pick-up truck rear-ended Lesones’s car when she stopped to turn left into a driveway, causing the car to go into a ditch.
Peoria County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a serious accident happened on Route 116 around 11:50 a.m.
The accident occurred at Stone School Rd and Rt 116 (Farmington). Rt 116 (Farmington) is closed at Cramer.
There will be no autopsy and toxicology is pending.
