Several kids in Central Illinois are getting a new bed thanks to a generous donation.
Sherman’s in Peoria unloaded 45 new mattresses at the Children’s Home Youth Farm in Peoria. The facility houses kids that suffer from behavioral and social problems.
Senior Director of Residential Services, Stacey Munoz, said the new beds will keep the kids comfortable for the full stay.
“It can be anywhere from up to a year or later if necessary, but our hope is to give them the best treatment we possibly can and discharge them, and transition them to a less restricted environment,” said Munoz.
Children’s Home Association of Illinois has been operating in the community for 150 years.
