UPDATE (9:06 p.m.) — Police are still investigating after a shooting sent two men to the hospital Thursday.
According to Peoria Police Lieutenant Sylvester, Police responded to the incident at Taft Homes after two victims were transported to the hospital by private vehicle after being shot by an unknown suspect.
Members of the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID), Crime Scene Unit (CSU), and Patrol Officers responded to the scene.
No suspect information is currently available, and the incident remains under investigation.

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Police are investigating a shooting near the Taft Homes in Peoria after two people were sent to the hospital.
At about 4 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in the back and rushed to the hospital, where he is in serious condition but is able to speak with officers.
An 18-year-old has been shot in the arm and in stable condition.
Police are currently searching for a suspect.
