PEORIA, Ill.– One man sustained serious injuries from multiple gunshot wounds Monday morning.
At approximately 1:56 a.m., Peoria Police responded to the area of the 1600 Block of S. Griswold Street for five consecutive ShotSpotter alerts.
Upon arrival, officers located two males who claimed to be victims of a residential burglary.
While on scene, officers found a 38-year-old male calling for help in the alley. He was transported to a local hospital for his injuries.
Police said they have arrested 24-year-old Lawerence Burns for an aggravated battery with a firearm.
This incident is still under investigation.
