An East Peoria man was sentenced to 28 years behind bars Tuesday for sexually preying on a 16-year-old.

According to the PJStar, 60-year-old Robert Rogers told a jury that he wanted to be the “father she never had,” but she held him at knife point demanding that he helped her to have a baby.

Rogers also reportedly offered to pay the girl to have sex with his roommate.

A judge and jury sentenced Rogers on three counts of criminal sexual assault and for promoting juvenile prostitution.
