Peoria Community Against Violence is holding a Stand Up for Peace after the death of 32-year-old Corey Hall.
Hall was found shot on the porch of a home on Linn Street Saturday morning.
He was pronounced dead by the coroner.
A second victim was found shot nearby.
He was transported to the hospital but is expected to recovery.
The Stand Up for Peace will be held Thursday at 6pm at the Gateway Building on Northeast Water Street.
A statement from PCAV reads: "We encourage all citizens of Peoria to come together in solidarity as a community to express the need to end all acts of violence. The Stand Up is a safe place for the community to unite and say violence has no place in our community."
At this point police have not named any suspects.
