Steamboat Classic taking place in Peoria

PEORIA, Ill. - The Steamboat Classic, which consist of three races, is taking place this Saturday.

The wheelchair race wil begin at 7 a.m. while both the 15K and the 4 mile races begin at 7:05 a.m. The 2 mile race will begin at 8:05 a.m.

The starting line for the wheelchair, 15K and 4 mile events will be at Main and Adams, while the starting line for the 2 mile race will be at Hamilton and Washington.

The finish line for all races will be on Water Street between Hamilton and Eaton Streets.

There will be several street closures during the Steamboat Classic. Main Street will be closed between Adams and Jefferson starting at 4 a.m.

The following intersections that will experience delays, from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., include:
