A Bloomington teen faces charges after police say she illegally sold handguns to a friend. 18-year-old Alexandria Macon stole three handguns from a Normal resident in March.
After catching and arresting her police discovered the evidence on her phone. After examining the stolen guns police suspected one of them was sold to Hammet Brown. Brown was the one officials say killed two people on Orchard Road last Month.
The shell casings that were found at the scene of the double homicide also matched the one of the gun police say Macon stole. After searching for more evidence on Macon’s phone they determined that the two, Hammet and Alexandria, knew each other.
Macon is now being held at the McLean County Jail and has a bond set at $10,000. She is expected to appear in court on August 3rd.
