Peoria, Ill. — Severe storms moved through Central Illinois Tuesday evening bringing damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain to the region.

Severe storms developed over southern Iowa and pushed east into Central Illinois after 8 pm. The storms produce damaging winds across Peoria, Fulton and Woodford counties resulting in more than 10,000 Ameren customers losing power.

9:23 PM – 3 South Hanna City (Peoria County) – 1.0″ diameter hail
9:27 PM – Bellevue (Peoria County) – 62 MPH wind gust
9:30 PM – Peoria International Airport (Peoria County) – 56 MPH wind gust
9:40 PM – Peoria (Peoria County) – 10 trees blown down
9:53 PM – Spring Bay (Woodford County) – Tree blown down, taking down power line
10:00 PM – Metamora (Woodford County) – Large tree uprooted
10:24 PM – Central Illinois Regional Airport/Bloomington (McLean County) – 51 mph wind gust
