A group of runners took off down the Worlds Most Beautiful Drive for a good cause.
This morning in Peoria Heights, 150 people took part in the Super Shuffle 5-K. The group made their way from Miller to Marieta and finished on Grandview Drive. Organizers say the race is geared to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The theme for this year had people celebrating the Super Bowl.
“People are dressed up in jerseys and have their favorite football teams on, so I think the Super Bowl theme, I think people are having a really good time with,” said Audrey Williams, race director of Super Shuffle 5-K.
The race director also says she hopes this race can become an annual event. Organizers did not comment on the amount of money raised from this event.
