Suspect arrested in South Dakota for Easter shooting in Galesburg

According to the Galesburg Police Department Facebook page, On Sunday, May 27, 2018 at approximately 8:24 p.m. Jonathan I. Kelly was taken into custody in Sioux Falls, South Dakota by the U.S. Marshall Sioux Falls Area Fugitive Task Force.

Jonathan I. Kelly was wanted for three counts of murder in relation to the incident that occurred on 4/1/2018 involving the shooting death of Jenni M. McGruder in Galesburg, Illinois.

Police have been searching for Kelly since the shooting outside of Seminary Street Pub in Galesburg. 

The Galesburg Police Department will not be releasing any further details at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
