WEST PEORIA, Ill. - The Peoria County Sheriff's Office has a 17-year-old boy in custody in connection to a Friday afternoon arson.
Crews responded to 2129 W. Rohmann Ave. in West Peoria just after 12:30 for a fire at a vacant house.
The fire was contained to one room of the house, but also damaged the roof. In all, firefighters estimate it caused $25,000 in damage.
Officers are still searching for a second suspect.
The county is also working with Peoria Police and Peoria Fire departments to figure out whether either suspect is connected to recent arson in the city.
