Teenager struck by bullet in Bloomington

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — A teenager was treated for gunshot wounds in Bloomington Thursday night.

The Bloomington Police Department responded to reports of a shots fired incident at the 1900 block of Peach St. at approximately 10:50 p.m. Officers found damage to an apartment complex, as well as other evidence that a shooting had occurred in a parking lot.

Officers were informed at 12:25 a.m. Friday there was a gunshot victim at St. Joseph’s Hospital. The victim, a juvenile male, sustained an injury with a gunshot wound while walking home in the area.

He was treated and released from the hospital.

There were no other injuries reported.
