On Friday The Midwest Truckers Association will be hosting their 56th edition of the Truck and Trailer show.
More than 165 trucks from over 22 states will be on display at the Peoria Civic Center, and organizers are urging you to come out and check out what the drivers have to show you.
Leaders say the trucks aren’t just from truck companies, those who attend can expect to see anything from boom trucks to dump trucks, semi’s and more.
Executive Vice President, Don Schaefer expects over 6,000 people to show up this weekend but he hopes to see more than the usual crowd.
“This is a unique oppurtunity,” said Schaefer. “They can come in here and it doesn’t cost anything. They can bring the kids and let them see what keeps the economy moving, by looking at the trucks.”
The event starts Friday February 1st at 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. It picks up again the day after, on Saturday from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.
