Though the flooding has gone down in the last week, the river levels are continuing to impact local businesses.
Hooked on Fishing has been closed since May 2nd and as of Wednesday the levels have dropped to 25.2-feet. But Director of Operations Ryan Ortega says that is still way to high for the park, he says the levels need to drop to 17-feet in order for operations to resume.
The good news is at the rate the river is dropping Ortega says he anticipates an re-opening date of June 1st. Though he says they still have to assess the amount of fish lost due to the flooding, which according to him, is a significant loss.
