The Forest Park Nature Center hosts Earth Festival once again

Local News

Earth Day is on Monday and The Forest Park Nature Center staff decided to bring the Earth Festival once again. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about issues our environment is facing. Also, to get the community thinking about using more Eco-friendly products and services.

This year they are focusing on “Think Global, Act local”. This event featured informational booths, food from local restaurants and even live music.

“When we look at the world today. There are so many pressures on this planet, just from the sheer number of people that are in this planet. I think it’s important for us to be responsible stewards of our Earth. It’s the only one we have,” said Mike Miller, Earth Festival organizer.

Organizers said they hope the public walks away knowing something new about the environment. All proceeds went to benefit The Forest Park Nature Center.
