The Midwest Food Bank is doing their part to aid disaster relief

TWIN CITIES, Ill. — Despite what we have faced, other in all parts of the Midwest have also been at the center of severe weather, and the Midwest Food Bank wants you to know, help is on the way.

On Wednesday, the food bank announced it will be teaming up with the Salvation Army to, once again, help provide aid to those in need.

Several volunteers showed up to the warehouse in Bloomington and began filling boxes with food, toiletries and other essentials.

Leaders say it’s amazing to see people several miles away from the disasters do their part to help out.

“It’s amazing every time,” said Mike Hoffman, Director of Operations for MWFB. “We respond to natural disasters with acts of god.”
