Local churches and religious organizations came together in Peoria for the second time to host Unite Fest 2018 in Glen Oak Park.
The Christian festival features live bands, free food and arts and crafts for kids. The event is free and leaders of the event say they don’t want this to be annual event but rather a monthly one.
“We are looking for churches to realize that they can work together better,” said Brent Ressler Co-Director for Unite Fest. “To have a day like this where you say ‘hey we can do more if we just put our resources and our time and skills together’.”
The event started at noon and ended at 9 o’clock. Ressler hopes to use the park within the year to have an even bigger event.
