Thousands of Ameren Illinois customers without power

PEORIA, Ill. — More than 6,000 Ameren Illinois customers are without power as the severe weather continued rolling in Tuesday morning.

As of 4:54 p.m. Tuesday, 1,759 people are without power.

Ameren Illinois opened its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in Decatur due to severe weather. It transforms into a 24/7 command center where staff can help manage all aspects of storm response and outage restoration efforts, including the deployment of personnel and resources to heavily impacted areas.
