PEORIA COUNTY - The Peoria County Sheriff's Office has arrested a third teen, in addition to the two previous suspects, in connection with several burglaries in the area.
There have been more than 30 reports of vehicle burglaries in the Limestone Township area over the past few weeks. Suspects have taken laptops, money, weapons, and more.
The Sheriff's Office arrested a 16 and 17-year-old male last week, and the third suspect, a 15-year-old male, was arrested Friday night. The 17-year-old has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, no FOID, possession of stolen property, possession of stolen firearm, and motor vehicle theft.
The suspects in custody are at the Peoria County Detention Center.
In addition to the burglaries in the Limestone Township area, the teens are considered suspects in more than 100 related burglaries and vehicle thefts in the Peoria and Bartonville areas.
