Tired of renewing your vehicle registration every year? That may change soon.

ILLINOIS - If you're forgetful, or just want to save some time, you soon may not have to renew your license plate sticker every year.

The Illinois Senate passed a multi-year registration bill. It would allow you to renew your registration every two years. Commercial drivers could renew every five years.

The annual cost of registration would remain the same, but you'd have to pay it up front.
