Twin City Leaders Return From Washington With High Hopes for Federal Funding

Local News

BLOOMINGTON – Leaders from the Twin Cities met with congressional delegates and members of President Trump’s administration in Washington, DC, in hopes to gain support with the White House and gain insight into federal funds.

Mclean County is looking at several large infrastructure projects in the next few years and building relationships with lawmakers may help with federal grant approvals.

Zach Dietmeier of the Economic Development Council explained, “We had a chance to just share what McLean County has on the brain right now as well as learning what’s active on Capitol Hill and moving forward, how we can better apply for these new programs.”

The 35 Twin Cities delegates returned from the Capitol last Friday.
