Congressman Rodney Davis stops in the Twin Cities as part of his month-long tax reform tour.
The Republican spoke with local business owners on Tuesday, to hear their thoughts on his ideas for tax reform.
“It can be that viable solution to give somebody like Vicki more opportunity to bring money back into their business,” said U.S. Republican Representative, Rodney Davis. “Plow it back into renovations, plow it back into hiring more people, and serving more people in Bloomington-Normal.”
There’s been no tax reform since 1986. The House, Senate, and White House are working to pass a comprehensive tax reform, but no legislation has been introduced.
If passed, Congressman Davis hopes it will lead to the creation of more local jobs.
