CANTON, Ill — The Little Giants were on the football field for the first time this fall on Monday.
But they are really excited about what’s happening indoors. The school just finished a new weight room that the players hope turn the Little Giants into something big.
“Our school board has been great and our administration as well. But the most important part is our community, they’ve really pitched in and helped buy in to this weight room culture,” said football coach Cody Myers. “We are the smallest school in the Mid-Illini (Conference) but still trying to compete every day, we need to try to get bigger, faster and stronger because we don’t have the subs. And we might now have the athletes of others, so we’re going to build what we got.”
