NORMAL, Ill. — The search is on for a new school superintendent after current superintendent Mark Daniel announced his plan to retire earlier this month.
District leaders at Wednesday night’s school board meeting approved a contract with a nationwide consulting firm called School Exec Connect.
The agency will help fill the role before Daniel leaves at the end of the school year.
“We know superintendents who are out there,” said Diane Robertson, partner with School Exec Connect. “We know potential candidates who are out there, personally, rather than just putting an advertising out in ink and seeing who will apply.”
The hiring service will cost the district $23,500.
