OTTAWA – A group of veterans is helping the county recover after last week’s devastating tornados.

Incident Commander Andrew Hanna explained, “Being able to come out and serve a community like this gives a lot of our members a sense of purpose and a passion to be able to help out the community and the greater country at large.”

Crews from the non-profit “Team Rubicon” surveyed home damage in Ottawa and Naplate.

Over the next week, more than 80 volunteers will take down trees, remove debris, and demolish damaged structures.
