Volunteers to “tag” 30,000 rubber ducks for a good cause

Local News

Volunteers will pack EastSide Centre Wednesday night in preparation for the Center for Prevention of Abuse’s 30th annual Duck Race.

Saturday, 30,000 rubber ducks will race down a hill at Eastside Centre for a number of prizes, including a $5,000 grand prize.

The CFPA rents the rubber ducks, which are used at duck races across the country. Tuesday night, volunteers will be placing numbered stickers on the bottom of the ducks. Each number is assigned to the people who adopted the ducks.

There are less than 4,000 ducks left to adopt. Those interested in adopting ducks can learn more here.
