Several voters in Washington encountered confusion at their polling location.

A handful of voters say the question about whether to make elections non-partisan did not appear on the ballot they received.

Tazewell County clerk, Christie Webb, says the voters were giving the wrong ballot. That referendum is not included on the ballot for residents who live outside of Washington city limits.

Once a ballot is placed in the ballot box, voters cannot be issued another one. As a word of caution, Webb says if you have a question about your ballot, or something isn’t right, ask an election judge before you submit it.
