The West Bloomington Revitalization Project (WBRP) is hosting a free block party to celebrate its new location.

The block party will take place on Saturday, June 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Washington & Allin Street. There will be free food, music, Carl’s Ice Cream, and a bike giveaway.

WBRP was formed in 2008 as the outgrowth of a community task force and became a nonprofit organization in 2010. The original headquarters occupied locations at 800 West Washington Street and 801 West Washington Street.

The new location now includes a Bike Co-op plus expanded Tool Library and Veggie Oasis programs. WBRP also offers a Home Repair Program, Community Gardens, a Seed Library, and the Book Bike.
