EDWARDS, IL - A dump truck's open-box bed got entangled in wires Tuesday morning on Kickapoo-Edwards Road in Edwards.
A male driver was safely removed after officials worked to clear the truck of the wires. The driver had crashed into a utility pole, which then disrupted power in the area.
WMBD is working to confirm how the bed of the truck directly got caught in the wires.
Ameren Illinois is on the scene and said it could take several hours to remove and replace the pole the truck crashed into.
A few businesses are still without power, including the Shell gas station. Ameren said it could take a few hours for those businesses to regain power as well.
Traffic is back in motion in both directions.
