PEORIA, Ill. — People in Peoria enjoyed all the fun of a 5-k race, without the run.
The fifth annual Peoria ZeroK, gives all types of people a chance to celebrate.
There was plenty of food and drinks, along with a raffle and silent auction, and activities for the whole family.
This year the run is benefiting Build Peoria, and their Police Housing project.
Event organizer Kelsey Vogt says Build Peoria approached them about pairing for this year’s event.
“We love what Build Peoria does, we think that they’re going to make waves in this community, so we were very honored that they chose us to have them be our benefactor,” said Vogt.
Build Peoria has been renovating a home as a part of the Peoria Police Resident Officer Program since 2018 and you can donate here, if you’d like to support their project.
