Bloomington man killed at McDonald’s in Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A Bloomington man was shot and killed at a Columbus, Ohio McDonald’s early Wednesday.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 1:15 a.m., officers were called to the McDonald’s at 2520 S. Hamilton Road on the report of a shooting.  

Our sister station WCMH said officials identified the victim as 28-year-old Zachary Roger Hoeft. Hoeft was found lying on the ground in the drive-thru lane of the restaurant, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injury. He was pronounced dead at 1:49 a.m.
