OSF Healthcare, Caterpillar have not reached agreement on Caterpillar PPO Network contract

News

CENTRAL ILLINOIS.– Two of the largest employers in central Illinois are working to reach an agreement on benefits.

For decades, OSF Healthcare has accepted Caterpillar patients at its facilities, but OSF and CAT have been unable to reach an agreement on coverage.

OSF released a statement saying the healthcare company is only requesting to be reimbursed fairly for services it provides.

OSF Healthcare Senior Vice President of Population Health Randy Billings said the following in a statement.

“To date, we have not been able to reach agreement with Caterpillar, but remain in active negotiations. The OSF hospital and home care agreement with Caterpillar will expire after September 30, 2019 unless we come to agreement prior to that date,” Billings said.

“The separate OSF physician agreement with Caterpillar does not expire, but some physicians may be unable to participate in the Caterpillar network based on the hospitals where they have been admitting privileges. Only Caterpillar can determine which, if any, physicians will be impacted based on their network policies,” Billings added.

Caterpillar Spokesperson Janice Walters sent WMBD a statement saying the following.

“Caterpillar and OSF Healthcare have a longstanding relationship and are currently going through contractual benefits negotiations. We are hopeful an agreement can be reached by the end of September,” Walters said.

CAT members may also choose a different network. Here is the complete list of insurance plans accepted at OSF.
