President Trump: US and Mexico are closing the shared border for non-essential travel

WASHINGTON (AP) — During the daily White House COVID-19 briefing Friday President Donald Trump announced the US and Mexico are closing the shared border to non-essential travel to curb virus spread.

The Trump administration also announced plans to restrict entry of people without documentation to the US, citing virus threat.

The federal government is waiving school standardized test requirements amid virus disruptions.
