BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Bloomington Purple Raiders hope their days of mising the state playoffs are over.
Last fall Bloomington went 7-3 and made the playoffs for the first time since 2013 and it’s rejuvenated the program, according to head coach Scott Godfrey.
“To only lose three season games as a program was kind of a high point, kind of jump started some life in the program,” Godrey said. “We want to keep the train rolling and join the upper echelon of the conference.”
Bloomington had made 27 consecutive playoff appearances from 1987-2013. Time to start another string like that.
