Boot Camp: Dunlap Banking On Fast, Quick Defense

High School Football

DUNLAP, Ill. — For the past couple of seasons, people have thought of the Dunlap Eagles as a team with a quick-strike offense.

But the Eagles would rather be known as a shut-down defense. This years’ team may feature a defense that is known for its speed and quickness.

“We could be a really good defensive unit because we have a lot of fast defensive ends and our line is pretty fast and strong up front,” said senior defensive lineman Daniel Wallace. “We haven’t had defensive ends like this in a while.

The Eagles, who are looking for their fifth straight playoff appearance, open the season at Galesburg on Aug. 30.
