ISU Football Playing Waiting Game

Is is playoff eligible.

Are the Redbirds playoff worthy?

That question will be answered Sunday when the football Championship Subdivision playoff field is announced. Until then, the Redbirds practice without knowing if a game is on the horizon.

“It’s weird, especialy being a senior, you’re career is kind of hanging in the balance,” said ISU senior receiver Anthony Warrum. “You have to hope and trust these last few weeks have made an impact on that committee. I think we’ve made a really strong case these last few weeks as one of the hottest teams in the country.”

The Redbirds won their final three games and finished with a 6-5 record.

“Spirits aren’t the highest because we don’t know if we have a game,” said ISU junior defensive lineman Dalton Keane. “But we’re excited we still have a chance. We’ve put ourselves in great position these past couple of weeks to at least make the playoffs.”
