STANFORD, Ill.–The Olympian Spartans are looking for a fresh start.
They only won one game last season and it’s been five years since the Spartans have had a winning record.
The players are hungry to change that.
They say their preseason practices have been positive and they can’t wait to start the season this week.
“We’re pretty eager to get into the season. The last couple of years we haven’t done so wel but this year we are looking forward to it a lot,” said Olympia senior Hayden Winterland.
“Our defense really has to be a lock-down defense and our offense, our runing game has to be ground and pound. we have to move the ball up and down the field,” said Olympia Senior Kaden Seeman.
Olympia opens the season Friday night against defending state champion Monticello.
